I will be a strong voice on the Select Board, using my experience as a small-business owner & attorney to help lead Shrewsbury!
We live in an incredible town that we should all be so proud to call home. Through a fiscally conservative budget that takes into account all members of our community while balancing the needs of the town both now and in the future, I will help to ensure that Shrewsbury remains the thriving community that it is today.
Elect Nicole Torres for Select Board 2025
My fellow Shrewsbury residents:
I am running for Select Board at our May, 2025 election and I would truly appreciate your consideration and your vote!
My goal as a Select Board Member is to be a strong voice on the Board that acts on behalf of all of our community members. As a small-business owner of a real estate law firm with multiple locations, I am well-versed on what it means to lead and manage in order to achieve desired outcomes.
I will make long-lasting contributions to our incredible town that I will be able to reflect on in the future and be truly proud of. I will help to make our town a place where my family and all members of our community will thrive both now and in the future. I promise to bring a fresh set of eyes to the challenges that our town is facing and stay open-minded to different ways in which these challenges can be tackled in a fiscally responsible manner.
I have been a member of our town since 2018 when my family and I decided to join our wonderful community. Immediately since becoming a member of our town, I have fallen in love with all aspects of Shrewsbury, from the diversity of our community members, excellence of our school systems, and financially sustainable means through which the town conducts business. With two young children in our school system, I am very much committed to helping to shape the future of what I am sure will be an even greater Shrewsbury that it is today.
I recognize the incredibly rich history of the town, so much so that I have been appointed as Vice-Chair of Shrewsbury’s 300th Anniversary Committee to aid the town in commemorating our tricentennial in 2027. With my eyes on the future of our town, I have also been appointed as a Board Member of the Shrewsbury Development Corporation, which seeks to improve our town’s economic growth and prosperity through the development of the underutilized areas of the town. As a real estate attorney and partner at my firm, I bring a unique perspective to this role as I can draw from my work experiences and apply them to what is happening in Shrewsbury.
In my role as a Town Meeting Member, I am apprised of the current happenings in our town and understand the current challenges that the town is facing, in addition to the tremendous strides and successes the town has experienced in recent years.
As Vice-President Elect in the Shrewsbury Rotary Club, I seek to make a difference in our community through volunteerism and collaboration with other local groups.
Being a local business owner and real estate attorney, I understand the challenge of balancing a fiscally responsible operating budget while simultaneously preparing for necessary expenditures needed for capital improvements in the future.
Many thanks for your consideration and I hope to receive your vote this coming May.
Yours truly,
Nicole A. Torres, Esq.
